Book Adventure Makes an Appearance on Rosie!
June 6, 2001, Baltimore, Md.—Today on the Rosie O’Donnell Show audience members were happy to receive a free bag of
gifts, courtesy of Book Adventure.
Each audience member at the nationally televised show received a Book Adventure canvas bag filled with a Book
Adventure frisbee and magnet, Sylvan Learning Center water bottle and Successful Student Magazine, Blurt board
game, a Highlights watch and magazine, stickers from eSticker and more.
Rosie also spoke about Book Adventure and how the free, web-based program is helping thousands of students
become and stay motivated to read and have fun doing so! The web site helps children to create their own book
lists from over 5,500 recommended titles, take quizzes on-line based on the books they read and earn points and
prizes from national sponsors for their successful quiz scores.
Book Adventure is a free on-line reading incentive program that uses technology and incentives to motivate
children (grades K-8) to read. Book Adventure allows kids to create personalized books lists from over
5,500 titles, take quizzes on the books on their lists, and earn prizes for reading. Book Adventure currently
has more than 506,000 registered users, with more than 76,000 classrooms using the site as a reading resource. Children
have taken more than 2.4 million quizzes since the site was established in April 1999.To sign up for Book
